George McClellan II Howard Hull with son Ken In addition to these kills, we unfortunately had 2 unfound bear hits. We also had a photo success. This puts our success ratio at over 80% for the 3 seasons combined. Not too shabby! Call Gus for full details (906) 365-5050. Please leave a message, if needed, for a prompt return call. He'll get back to you as soon as he returns from the woods (or ice, as the season dictates). Gus & Nettie Pietila FISH TAXIDERMY (906) 365-5050We're in the process of expanding our Fish Taxidermy Studio. With bait and tackle no longer taking up space, the old bait shop is becoming: display area for our work, completed customer mounts, and mounts for sale. During bear season, we made some progress on fish taxidermy. With our season complete, we'll be working even faster. All perch mounts are expected to be completed by around the end of October, or before. All customer mounts, taken in to date, should be completed by year end. While this schedule keeps us well within a 12 month time slot, Gus and Nettie both, are now working to reduce our turn-around time even more. The Fish Taxidermy Studio does not have regular hours. Stop in if the sign says OPEN. Though we'll be on site most all of the time, its safer to call ahead to be sure we can attend you. What a joy to be able to take an occasional day, or afternoon, off. Wait till you see what "the man" has in store. He has many mounts on display in the shop for your viewing pleasure.
This giant, 5 foot root mat is on
display in our shop, and can be purchased. All of the perch are over 2
pounds each. Its quite something to see. (above) Nettie's back in business Gus' walleye stringer (43 pounds of walleye so far, 1 fish to go)
Smallmouth Bass Perch, schooling.
