Private Vacation Home Rentals: In addition to motel lodging, we perform rental agent services for a number of clients, bringing you a wide array of Vacation Homes for rent. Rentals are available for as few as 3 days, with our executive suite available on a daily basis; discounted weekly rates. All of the properties we offer are clean and well maintained. Our range of property locations offer a spot just right for your group. New this summer: Maple Leaf Executive Lodging Suite in downtown Bergland. Available daily or weekly, and The Willows Lodging.
Our Store: On site at Maple Ridge is our very unique Variety Store. The building is divided into several sections, each serving the individual needs of our guests. Beginning with the garage at the far north end of the building is a heated area where snowmobilers may make repairs and where our walk-in wild game cooler is located. The "Self-Serve" entryway offers access to our After-Hours Bait Shop which is open 24 hours a day, and access to the guest kitchen. Kitchen is fully equipped and has dining seating as well. Pop, juice and Snacks may be purchased in the kitchen. The kitchen, too, is available for guest use 24 hours a day. Join Gus for his morning coffee hour if you like. The front portion of the building is divided into 3 distinct areas to better serve you: Enter at the Gift Shop, where you'll find all manner of treasures; copper art and copper souvenirs from Upper Michigan's Copper Country, Hand-crafted soaps, lotions and soy candles from Michigan, hand-crafted aromatic soy beads with a variety of warmers, locally crafted wood projects, and an array of other great gift & souvenir items. Beyond the Gift area, we carry live bait and tackle. And don't forget COINS: We Buy, Sell, and Trade.
The final area of our Store Building is the Fish Taxidermy Shop. We offer Quality fish taxidermy services at highly competitive rates. We have been in the professional fish taxidermy business since 1999 and have completed more than 1600 mounts. Our Guide Services include Black Bear Baiting and Ice Fishing with Ice Shacks and more, available for rent. Become a member of our 2-pounder Club when you catch a 2 pound or better perch, and get your FREE 2-pounder Club Cap. ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Maple Ridge Events: We hold 2 Major events each year. Our Hog-A-Thon is the most spectacular ice fishing contest you'll find. It is held on the 2nd Saturday in March and features the Famous Lake Gogebic Jumbo perch. You won't believe your eyes when you land one of these hefty beauties. Gus calls our perch "Teeter Pigs" because when you place these hogs on their bellies they're so fat that they don't teeter over. At the Hog-a-Thon dinner we award lots of cash and door prizes for catches of Perch, Walleye, Northern Pike, and even that bottom feeding Sucker. Summer Saturday's Bazaar began as a small Flea Market each Saturday in the summer of 2011, on the Maple Ridge grounds. It was so well received that we are expanding to a full blown Bazaar beginning 2012. At the Bazaar you will enjoy a good variety of kids carnival games, Vendor tables featuring work by area craftsmen, new merchandise and rummage, Snack Stand, Area Information Booth and more. The Bazaar is open each Saturday from June 1 - Labor Day from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Eastern Time. Join the fun as visitor or vendor! OTHER AREA ATTRACTIONS We are in the process of developing a comprehensive area information packet. It will include the Lake Gogebic Times publication and additional information regarding area businesses, attractions and events.
